Terms and Conditions

Live Remote Assistance Permission and Release Agreement

You have requested support assistance from Minitab, LLC (hereinafter referred to as "Minitab"). You have requested that a member of the Minitab support team remotely connect to Your computer systems via the internet to assist with resolving a computer system problem relating solely to the installation and operation of Minitab software products, and for no other reason.

Minitab will attempt to assist You if You allow a member of the Minitab support team to view Your desktop and share control of Your mouse and keyboard, subject to Your specific agreement of this Live Remote Assistance Permission and Release Agreement (this "Agreement").

You expressly acknowledge that You have been advised that:

  • You will be sharing Your desktop
  • Unless You are specifically authorized to grant such consent and permission to Minitab for this limited support assistance, You will close all windows and applications that may contain ANY (i) Personal information of You or Your customers, and (ii) Confidential or Trade Secret information of You or Your customers.

Allowing a member of the Minitab support team to remotely connect to Your computer: (i) may result in damage to Your computer hardware, software and/or any related systems, including, without limitation, loss of data; and (ii) does not guarantee any resolution to the problems You are experiencing with the installation and operation of Minitab software products.

Notwithstanding the possibility of such damage, You hereby expressly grant Minitab permission to: (1) remotely connect to your computer system and video record the screen activity during the Remote Assistance session; (2) act as the controller of any such video record; and (3) use such video record as governed by Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

You hereby agree and expressly waive and release any and all claims You may have or will ever have against Minitab and its employees, agents, affiliates, officers, and directors relating to or arising out of any damage or loss of any nature whatsoever that results, directly or indirectly, from Minitab remotely connecting to Your computer system as requested by You in this Agreement, as well as the recording of the sessions, including, without limitation, loss of data and damage to Your computer hardware, software and/or any related systems.

You agree to defend, indemnify, save and hold harmless, Minitab and its officers, directors, agents, affiliates, and employees from any and all third party claims, demands, liabilities, costs or expenses, including reasonable attorney fees arising from or in any way relating to or arising out of any damage or loss of any nature whatsoever that results, directly or indirectly, from Minitab remotely connecting to Your computer system and/or recording the sessions as requested by You in this Agreement.

This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania without reference to principles of conflict of laws.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND BY CLICKING THE "ACCEPT" BUTTON, YOU ACCEPT ITS TERMS AND CONDITIONS. THIS AGREEMENT MAY ONLY BE AMENDED BY A WRITTEN AGREEMENT SIGNED BY AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES OF BOTH PARTIES.
